I tutor IB Maths full time and mostly work with AA students who are aiming for 6s and 7s. A lot of my lessons are spent on the questions where marks quietly disappear: notation, method marks and how to set out working under time pressure. I also help with IA ideas when students are stuck between a topic that looks interesting and one they can actually model properly. If a student says, “I knew what to do but still lost marks,” that is usually where I come in.

Hi, I’m an IB Maths tutor with a background in applied maths and several years of online teaching. I mainly support students who know the content but freeze when a paper mixes topics together. Most of my IB Maths students find me when they’re doing fine in class but not converting that into marks on tests. We usually start by sorting out the basics they half-know, then move into harder mixed questions once the foundations are solid. I particularly enjoy teaching functions and proof, and I’m used to helping with IA choice, data handling and the write-up side that schools often rush through.

I teach IB Maths with a strong focus on how the course is actually assessed, not just how it appears in the textbook. In lessons we look closely at command terms, calculator use and the difference between an answer that is correct and one that would earn full credit. I regularly support students with revision plans before mocks, and I’m especially useful for those who need help turning rough IA ideas into workable maths.
